Intellectual Property

最新天美传媒 encourages creativity and innovation among faculty, staff, and students.

Intellectual property (IP) includes inventions, software, written works, designs, and other original creations that may be protected through patents, copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets.

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) facilitates JU鈥檚 intellectual property review and disclosure process. We help faculty, staff, and students understand the University鈥檚 policy, identify considerations related to sponsored funding, and coordinate review with University leadership and legal counsel as appropriate.

ORSP does not provide legal advice. Questions about legal ownership, patentability, or the appropriate form of IP protection may require review by qualified legal counsel.

Inventors are encouraged to review JU鈥檚 Intellectual Property Policy, which outlines ownership, rights, responsibilities, and procedures for work developed within the University community.

To begin the internal review process, inventors are advised to complete and submit a confidential Invention Disclosure Form to Renee Rossi at rrossi@ju.edu.
