Congratulations to Emma Ganey, JU's September 2026 Employee of the Month! Emma is a standout employee who consistently makes a significant impact on the External Affairs team and ×îÐÂÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. Since joining JU, she has stepped into a variety of roles and opportunities as needed, approaching each with an outstanding attitude, enthusiasm, and exceptional work ethic. Her willingness to take on new challenges and lead wherever needed reflects her versatility and commitment to the University’s success.

Emma recently demonstrated this leadership during a tremendous month in which she coordinated and led several key initiatives. Most notably, she oversaw the execution of ×îÐÂÌìÃÀ´«Ã½â€™s Urban Land Institute (ULI) Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) for the waterfront development project. She brought together expert panelists from across the country and community leaders throughout ×îÐÂÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, coordinated schedules and logistics, and led the planning and execution of an extensive two-day charrette. The effort culminated in a presentation at the Frisch Welcome Center that helped articulate a path forward for one of the most important initiatives shaping the future of the campus and University. Emma’s ability to bring people together, manage complex details, and keep a major initiative moving forward demonstrates her ability to turn vision into action and deliver meaningful results.

Emma embodies the kind of employee JU strives to attract and retain. She leads with a hungry and humble mindset, sets the example through her actions, and encourages others to take ownership and find solutions. She does not limit herself to her job description; when she sees a challenge or opportunity, she steps forward and helps move it toward resolution.

Through her leadership, Emma helps create an environment where the team works efficiently and effectively while remaining focused on JU’s broader mission of revenue generation and strategic growth. Her ability to lead by example, foster collaboration, and turn challenges into opportunities makes her an invaluable member of the JU community and a deserving Employee of the Month.

Emma was presented with a certificate signed by Interim President Sutherland, a $50 cash award, and an extra day off for her outstanding contributions and positive impact on ×îÐÂÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.
